Hey y’all! I hope you had a lovely Valentine’s Day! We kept it low key this year…it was our 14th Valentine’s together and we don’t quite wine and dine like we used to for such occasions! I cooked cauliflower fried rice for me (recipe coming next week), and a honey BBQ chicken with rice and broccoli for the hubs (thank the Lord for crock pots.) We had quality family time with our boobear, tucked him in to bed, then watched The Bachelor and sipped champagne. YOLO!!! What a wild night! LOL- It was definitely my little slice of heaven and I’m not trying to call anyone out BUT…my hubby really enjoys The Bachelor, too! Shhhh- it’s our little secret!
So, lately here in South Carolina, the weather has hardly dipped below 60 degrees. I’m already channeling spring and thinking about how my wardrobe can transition from “winter”ish weather to warm spring and summer temps. Behold, the Monthly Edit for February. (Side note: You can shop these items by clicking the pictures below my descriptions!)

I absolutely love this shirtdress from Topshop.. I’m loving the flirty vibes with the off-the-shoulder trend, yet it is practical with the long sleeves (and great for the office with a cardigan or blazer.) The sky blue pinstripe gives it a classic, preppy vibe and I love the button details down the front. Topshop nailed elevating a traditional shirtdress with that FUN collar! Swoon! Can you tell I’m obsessed? This dress is only $90, which in my opinion, makes it a steal for a piece you can wear all spring and even into cooler summer nights.

Next, is this amazing Sam Edelman Sierra Straw Tote. I absolutely LOVE this bag. The pom fringe border is so summery and festive and I love the structured shape. The skinny scarf is actually detachable and definitely adds another element of chic to a rather traditional straw tote. The circle shaped handles are so on-trend and the shape/size is perfect to carry all of your everyday essentials. This bag is under $200, and well worth the investment. Treat yo’self!

I was searching for a minimal summer heel and stumbled upon these amazing triple strap block heel sandals from Old Navy. They are $37 and so versatile for spring and summer. You can wear with shorts, skinnies, skirts, and dresses. It doesn’t matter what style or color because these will literally go with EVERYTHING. They are available in four colors including, cognac (pictured), tan, black, and tan with a silver strap at the toes. All so cute and a STEAL! Right now, you can get 30% off with the code: ENJOY, which makes them ONLY $26! So, get them while they’re still in stock…I have a feeling these won’t be around for long!

Lastly, let’s talk about the accessories. I’ve hand-picked some really trendy, neutral pieces that are the cherry on top of this look. The Zarah Drops from Baublebar are a delicate touch, yet give you just enough sparkle near your face while still keeping it sleek and minimal.

I chose a triple strand choker that will highlight the unique neckline of this dress, while staying trendy with the 90s choker vibe. The choker trend is here to stay and because of that, I’ve noticed some really cool variations and styles lately. This style being no different: braids, jewels, and tassels, OH MY!

This beautiful Kate Spade Treasure Ring is on sale right now from $98 to just $61! It’s definitely a timeless statement piece and pairs well with the other accessories from this look.

I chose another Kate Spade item, the Luggage Metro Watch, to mirror the cognac color from the strappy heels. This is a piece that you could easily wear all year round.

I chose BP. Oversized Mirrored Sunnies from Nordstrom (available in three colors: black, tortoise shell, and nude) to finish this look. These neutral sunnies are dramatic with the oversized look, but practical in color. OH and did I mention they’re only $12?!?! AH!

This last piece is just a fun addition to your iPhone case collection. Calling all my fellow cat ladies! This Kate Spade Glitter Cat Phone Case mixes the best of both worlds. Cats and glitter. It really doesn’t get any better! It’s $45 and TOO CAAAAUTE!

I hope you enjoyed the Monthly Edit for February and as always you can find the permanent home for this post under the Monthly Edit Menu, then click the month of choice! Thanks for reading and stay styled, sugarplum!

Hey y’all! I hope you had a great week! Soooo I’m not sure if I missed the memo or have just been living under a rock because two of my absolute favorite retailers partnered together and I’m just now discovering it! Target and BaubleBar have collaborated to create a fabulous new line of jewelry called Sugarfix and I am obsessed. Target always takes care of me…luh you boo.  The line offers a wide variety of jewelry from statement necklaces, chokers, bracelet stacks, and tassel earrings. The best part about this line is the price point. Most everything is under $30. You get the quality and style of some of your BaubleBar faves, but for a fraction of the cost! You can check out the entire line here: SUGARFIX

Today, I’m highlighting my Weekend Wish List with some of my favorite earrings from this line. I love a good statement earring and these are all SO fun and on-trend! All of these are under $15. Yes, you read that correctly…I couldn’t believe my eyes at first either. ALL UNDER $15!!! Tassel earrings continue to be on trend for spring and all of these pictured below are available in multiple color choices. My absolute favorite are the Beaded Geometric Drop Earring (top right.) The colors are gorgeous! Shop all of my picks below and check back with the blog tomorrow night as I present my first weekend update on my plant-based diet with several delish recipes!! (Did I survive? Spoiler Alert- YES!) Happy shopping and stay styled, sugarplum!

Happy New Year, loves! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA lately…my hubby started a new job in September and we have been traveling back and forth from Charleston to our hometown (we’re baaaaaaack) for house hunting, packing, and preparing for our move. After three months of living out of boxes and hustling to sell our house…POOF! We sold our old house and then closed on our new home the Tuesday before Christmas. Great timing!!!! Notttttttttt…but the important thing is that 1. we survived and 2. we are happy, healthy, motivated, and ready for our new adventure! There’s nothing like a clean slate to really get priorities in order. It was a fantastic time during our move to purge my closet and assess winter necessities. Do you get the itch to purge, rearrange, and organize things in your home? I always try go through my home before Christmas to donate to those in need and also start the new year off with less clutter and a fresh perspective. This time of year, I also find myself sometimes in a fashion rut…organizing my closet can be instant inspiration to style new pieces together and then purchase whatever else I need to add to my collection. Right now is a perfect opportunity to shop for whatever else you may need for your cold-weather wardrobe since retail stores are about to make the seasonal switch to spring. There are LOTS of after Christmas/New Year’s sales currently running to get winter inventory OUT. Good news for us!

Behold the Monthly E D I T for January. I’ve styled this look so that rich hues pop from grounded neutral tones. I consider all these pieces closet staples, seeing as you can mix and match all of these items individually with numerous looks for different occasions. There’s a slight boho vibe with the wide flares and floral blouse, but elevated to today’s trends with the maize and python Vera Bradley crossbody and a modern twist with accessories. I’m a bit obsessed with this crossbody bag and mayyyy have ordered it myself…late Christmas gift to me, from me?!? Who can resist when it’s 50% off making it only $60! Several of these items are on sale right now, so I’ve listed them below. You can shop the entire look in the scroll box under the picture.

Hey everyone! Are you gearing up for the holidays? Have you made your list and checked it twice? I know one struggle for me is shopping for the men in my life. It’s always super easy to shop for all the ladies of the family, but when it comes to the guys…struggle is real! Most of them already have the gadgets, electronics, tools, and clothes they want and need, so it leaves me trying to think outside the box…AKA complete panic and stress during the hectic Christmas shopping crunch time. Well, stress no more! If you haven’t heard about Jord Wood Watches (I published a post over the summer featuring their women’s collection- find it here: Jord Wood Watches ), I’ll give you a quick overview! Jord is a premiere wood watch company that prides itself on the unique craftmanship, quality, and style of their timepieces. Their men’s line is so stylish and handsome and would make THE perfect holiday gift. My husband has the Dover series watch in Zebrawood and Dark Sandalwood and has received so many compliments from his friends, coworkers, and clients. It’s definitely a conversation piece!
This particular watch is self-winding (no battery required) and has a deployment buckle with push buttons for secure closure. It’s available in four different wood combinations and they also offer personalized engraving, sizing, and free shipping worldwide! Talk about the total package! Speaking of packaging…
The watches come packaged in a wood keepsake box and the packaging is just as unique and special as the watch itself. It’s completely obvious that so much thought has been put into every detail!

You can shop the entire men’s collection here: Men’s Collection

OR if you want to browse and possibly treat yourself too (’tis the season… come on, you deserve it), you can shop the women’s collection here: Women’s Collection

I hope you’ll check out these amazing watches because time is running out! Gotta get the orders out to Santa asap! 😉 Have a great weekend and a holly jolly Jord Christmas! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Happy shopping!
Until next time ✌️| Stay styled sugarplum!💋

Wooden Wristwatch

The November Monthly Edit is all about holiday events. Now that the holidays are in full swing, I chose these items as inspiration for upcoming holiday parties and winter weddings.
This is such a fun twist on the basic little black dress. I love how the bell sleeves and off-the-shoulder trends join together with an A-line hem to make this dress really shine. This LBD is from ChicWish and a steal at only $62. Shop here: Chic Wish Simple Elegance Dress
I’m also in love with this fur jacket from H&M. It’s right under $80 and is the perfect choice for dressy and chic outerwear during those cold nights! It’s super versatile because you could also wear it for a date night or girl’s night out with ripped denim, heels, and a lace top. Shop here: H&M Fur Jacket
These heels are so so so pretty. They come in a wide variety of colors (black, gold, silver, embellished), and they’re all under $100. I like the fact that they’re kitten heels, so you can dance all night and not break your ankle after a few glasses of champagne. Not that I’m speaking from experience, although to be honest, I’m extremely surprised that hasn’t happened to me yet. Keeping it real! Shop the featured heel here: Macy’s Kitten Heel Pumps
For accessories, I’ve chosen this super fun Rebecca Minkoff Sofia Clutch, Elizabella Drop Earrings from BaubleBar, and Oversized black & gold sunnies from Nordstrom.
These accessories add a little bling factor to the ensemble. I absolutely love the metallic tassel details on the Sofia Clutch and it definitely compliments the different metallic/neutral colors from the earrings. I chose a dramatic red lip in the shade D is for Danger by MAC. This is slightly deeper than a traditional red, and a very sophisticated color. Plus, I feel like a bold red lip instantly brings attention and dresses up your look. The sunnies are a nice final touch (if your event begins during the day) with the gold mirrored lens and solid black oversized frames. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I’m already looking forward to next month’s edit: Holiday gift ideas!
