Everybody needs one! It’s just a fashion fact of life…a little white dress is just as necessary for your wardrobe as a little black dress! Both are total staples to complete your closet collection.
Hey y’all! Hope your week has gone well so far! I’m really pumped because I’m going to visit a bestie of mine for girl’s weekend in ATL on Friday morning!!! I’m in the midst of packing now and I can hardly handle my excitement! PLUS, two four-day work weeks in a row?!?! No complaints here except WHY can’t we make this the standard permanently?! Oh, the struggle. 😜 I already feel like this week is flying by though…probably because another one of my favorite reality shows is back in full swing: BIG BROTHER!!! It has definitely filled the void in my Sunday nights (I’ll miss you Game of Thrones!) and I love that it comes on three times a week! My hubby and I can’t get enough. The Bachelorette last night was soooo good, too. *SPOILER ALERT* I knew James and Alex were going home…they were friend-zoned from the beginning. Looks like there is some D-R-A-M-A going dowwwwn in the home town dates with Robby though, so next week should be good! Jordan is still the front runner in my opinion! Alright, alright, enough about reality TV (I told you I have problems)… I’ve got a little story for you. Gather round!
The hubs and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary June 24, but our little one got sick and soooo wellllll……parenthood. We cancelled the date and going to reschedule for a few weekends from now when summer traveling calms down a bit. I wanted to wear a little white dress because our anniversary always takes me back to the ultimate white dress: my wedding gown. So, I shopped and shopped and fell in love with this Zara cold-shoulder dress (only $23!) I love the cold-shoulder with the frill sleeves. I thought it was a really chic way to amp up the cold-shoulder trend. I paired with embellished stud cognac mid-heel sandals from Forever 21 (only $35 and from my June wish list!) They add an extra edge and give the LWD some added detail and depth. I accessorized with the Kendra Scott Rayne necklace in white pearl, Old Navy cat eye sunglasses ($12), floral pearl and gold hoop earrings (which I got forever ago at Francesca’s but I’ve linked similar styles below), and included a bold pop of color with a turquoise Kate Spade Oliver Street Lilly saddle bag.
While I was shopping for the perfect little white dress (LWD), I came across soooo many cute styles that I HAD to do a blog post feature for y’all! I really feel like every wardrobe should have several little white dresses for different summer occasions. I’m really loving the details I’ve seen with embroidery and lace, however, this one in my opinion, is really versatile because it can be vamped up even more with higher heels and accessories OR dressed down for a more casual look with flat lace-up sandals and a cool braid for a more boho beachy vibe.
In addition to some pics of my anniversary date night look (even though we have yet to actually go on our date 🙈), I’ve added your LWD shop below that! Happy shopping and hope you have a fabulous rest of the week! I’ll do a separate post later this week with Nordstrom Sale goodies, so be on the lookout! Until next time✌️| Stay styled, sugarplum!💋
